Aplausos is one of the largest and most influential dance festivals in São Paulo and Brazil. Founded in 2017, the festival has impacted over 6,000 artists and 500 schools, recognized for technical rigor, impeccable organization and real professionalization opportunities.
Where does the festival take place?
The festival is held at Teatro Ítalo Brasileiro, located in Santo Amaro — one of São Paulo's best-equipped theatres.
How often does the festival occur?
The festival takes place 3 times a year: March (Debut Edition), June (Preparation Stage for Joinville) and September.
Who can participate?
Dancers of all ages, from baby class to professional adults. The festival covers various modalities: Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap Dance, Urban Dances, Folk and more.
Popular How do I register?
Registration is done through the "Registration" page. The school or group representative fills in the form with the team and dancers' details.
What is the registration deadline?
Opening and closing dates for registrations are published in each edition's regulations. We recommend registering early as spots are limited.
Can I register a solo choreography and a group?
Yes! You can register as many choreographies as you wish, in different categories: solo, duo, trio, small group and large group.
How are selected participants chosen?
Spots are filled in order of registration and confirmed payment, respecting the limits of each category.
How do I buy a ticket to watch the festival?
Tickets for the general public are sold on our website, in the "Tickets" section. We accept credit card, PIX and bank slip.
Do participants need tickets?
Registered dancers receive access credentials with their registration confirmation. Family members and companions need to purchase tickets normally.
How does the half-price ticket policy work?
We follow current Brazilian legislation. Students, seniors over 60 and people with disabilities are entitled to half-price tickets upon presentation of proof.
What is Aplausos Workshop?
Aplausos Workshop is the Institute's educational arm. We offer masterclasses, improvement courses and career mentoring with leading masters and judges.
Are workshops exclusive to festival participants?
No. Workshops are open to any dancer or teacher interested, regardless of participating in the competitive festival.
Popular What payment methods are accepted?
We accept credit card (up to 12 installments), PIX (with discount) and bank slip. Payments are processed securely by certified gateways.
Is there a refund in case of withdrawal?
Refund conditions are described in each edition's regulations. In general, withdrawals with more than 30 days' notice have partial refund.

How far in advance are the regulations published?
We publish each edition's regulations approximately 3 months in advance. Registrants are notified by email when new regulations are published.
